Ed Grimball was born in Charleston in 1947.
His family settled on Edisto Island, about 40 miles south of Charleston, circa 1675 and has been here ever since. He is a 1971 graduate of Erskine College, Due West, South Carolina. Ed has been a licensed tour guide since 1993. A carriage driver his first two years, he opened his walking tour business February 26, 1996.

 
  Many people travel great distances to see beautiful Charleston.  Therefore, I go in any weather, rain or shine, hot or cold.  There is only one exception to this rule - hurricanes!

I never "farm out" my business to another guide.  My name is on the website.  I will always give my own tours.

Complimentary ice cold water is provided approximately one hour after the tour starts May 15 - August 31.
